Diagnostics and Professional Hygiene

Diagnostics

At Open Dental Clinic, diagnostics are carried out using state-of-the-art X-ray equipment from leading global manufacturers of the latest generation: the MORITA (Japan) orthopantomograph (X-ray + CT scanner) and the HELIODENT PLUS intraoral radiographic system from the German company Sirona. Modern equipment allows us to obtain 3D scans, targeted X-rays, and intraoral images necessary for treatment, while minimizing radiation exposure for the patient.

Professional Dental Hygiene

At Open Dental Clinic, we use all methods of removing supra- and subgingival deposits: ultrasonic, ultra-fine powder (AirFlow), mechanical, and combinations of these techniques.

Oral hygiene is the key to the health of your teeth. Even with a genetic predisposition to caries and periodontitis, proper oral hygiene and daily toothbrushing reduce the risk of these diseases by half.

In addition, professional dental hygiene can precede or complete other dental procedures and helps to achieve the best treatment results.

Even if you take care of your teeth at home, some procedures – such as tartar removal or preventive enamel strengthening – can only be performed in a clinical setting. During the visit, the hygienist can also detect the early stages of many dental diseases and carry out diagnostic procedures to assess the risks.

Tartar removal is performed with an ultrasonic device. The powder used contains calcium carbonate rather than ordinary baking soda, which delivers active calcium ions to the enamel surface, reduces tooth sensitivity, and prevents irritation of the oral mucosa after the procedure. This is followed by polishing with special brushes and silicone cups with polishing paste.

Professional cleaning through tartar removal and root surface smoothing prevents plaque buildup. This in turn prevents chronic inflammation that can eventually lead to tooth loss.

Professional dental hygiene is recommended for the prevention of caries and periodontitis, elimination of bad breath, prevention of gum bleeding, and removal of stains. The procedure is painless and does not damage enamel, fillings, or prosthetics. During the process, teeth are polished to a natural shine.

Thanks to Open Dental Clinic you will:

  • eliminate plaque;

  • strengthen your teeth and restore their natural defense;

  • reduce the risk of caries and periodontitis;

  • receive advice on proper oral and dental care.

Regular professional oral care helps prevent many inflammatory gum diseases and reduces the risk of tooth decay.
